Summary: At the scheduled event time of 1930 hours, not half of the required numbers were present. After being postponed for 15 minutes, connection issues occurred for the event organiser and another competitor, which delayed the beginning by a further 10 minutes. Once the technical problems were resolved, however, there were sufficient numbers to warrant two full brackets.
The tournament progressed as follows:
Round 1: (* = winner)
Kjvago vs Ronos*
Davren* vs Daxtron
Aradow* vs Percer
Weslo* vs Scarlette (Filling in)
Wildcard round:
Kjvago* vs Percer
Round 2:
Davren* vs Kjvago (Wildcard entry)
Aradow vs Ronos*
Weslo vs Davren*
Final Round (best of 3):
Ronos vs Davren*
Ronos* vs Davren
Ronos vs Davren (tied)
Ronos* vs Davren
Positive Points:
Negative Points:
Overall Assessment and Recommendation: This was my first organised event and as such it had its issues, but everyone became enthusiastic and involved after a shaky start. With the technical problems now resolved, I can learn and improve from here. Many credits were won and lost through bets and prizes and in the end, I gathered that we all had a good time. Also, congratulations to Ronos for taking the tournament in the highly contested final round.
