Contact Report
Enemy Encountered: <The Dread Imperium>
Friendly/Neutral Encountered: N/A
Contact Summary: At 2000 hours EST, Alpha Company began forming a defensive perimeter outside the Republic base inside the maximum security section of the prison planet Belsavis. The patrol was scheduled due to recent increases in hostility from both the escaped inmates and Imperial agitators on planet.
After a minor delay, SPC Eroca arrived in Ghost uniform and began conducting recon operations throughout the area. At 2020 hours, CPL Illumori was informed of an unknown contact outside the base entrance. After approaching the individual, the junior NCO questioned him until it was revealed that they were in fact with Imperial Intelligence. Immediately the subject was taken into custody utilizing electro-cuffs. SGT Kateri was put in charge of the prisoners safety and well-being.
The formation then proceeded with the planned patrol route and moved a short distance from the entrance of the base, dragging along the subject. Out of sight of the base guards, Alpha Company NCO's began to "aggressively interrogate" the Imperial Intelligence operative while the platoon formed 360 security. Refusing to talk, SGT Kateri applied "a minimal and necessary amount of force vital to the success of the mission, without compromising the integrity of the Armed Forces of the Republic" to the operative, who suddenly began to change their mind.
Before long though, SPC Eroca radioed in over COMMS giving an accurate report of several Imperial contacts who were massing together and mounting speeders. With the knowledge that the enemy group was in route, SGT Kateri increased the dose of...convincing. Around 2030 hours, the enemy group found the platoon and began approaching. 1SG Ranque conducted negotiations with the Imperial contacts, refusing to admit that we had anyone in custody, while they could clearly see that their friend was behind the firing line. Obviously, this irritated the enemy contacts, and before a call for fire could be issued, the Imperials charged the firing line and were amongst the troopers instantly.
At 2035 hours Sith and Imperial armed forces personnel alike quickly forced the men and women of the 203rd REL into brutal hand-to-hand combat, with casualties mounting on both sides. During the fighting, CPL Illumori was brought down by a stampeding Sith, but TPR Roran acted quickly, laying down suppressive fire that forced the Sith back, and dragged CPL Illumori to the corner of the fighting where he quickly revived his NCO, then returned to mending his fellow troopers. The Imperial onslaught was unrelenting, brutal and effective. The first engagement lasted no more than 2 minutes, and at the end of it, only CPL Illumori, SGT Kateri and 1 other trooper were still standing. With the enemy force eliminated, all 3 surviving warfighters quickly set to reviving their comrades and patching them up as best as they could. TPR Frank Honorem sustained a non-fatal but permanent injury which was attended to by TPR Roran.
Within minutes, the second wave of Imperial contacts came into view, and without much of a hesitation, set about charging the firing line of troopers. Once again the men and women of Alpha Company performed exceptionally well despite the large number of rookie grunts. This time, less casualties were sustained by the Republic's finest, but the captive we had taken was released by a comrade, and set about attacking his captors. His mistake came back to him however, because as the infantry soldiers snuffed out the remainder of Imperial resistance, he was beaten down and taken back into custody for the second time within 30 minutes.
As the infantry unit scoured over the bodies that lay scattered across the ground, 1SG Ranque came across another operative, barely alive. With basic first aid knowledge, the SNCO acted quickly to preserve the subject's life and ordered them to be taken into custody for interrogation. Now that the Company had collected 2 captives vital to Imperial Intelligence, the payout for said prisoners would be ideal.
With the prisoners secured quite well under the scrutinizing attention of SGT Kateri and TPR Kallorst, the platoon formed another battle line as SPC Eroca reported another wave of Imperial contacts incoming. From afar, CPL Illumori could see the distinct shape of a Mandalorian helmet walking towards his unit, surrounded by Sith and military personnel alike. Meeting him face to face, CPL Illumori began to realize just how vital these captives were to the Empire. The Mandalorian hired and sent to negotiate the release of the prisoners was, according to himself, a clone body with the brain, personality and consciousness of a long dead individual. His name was Ch'rell, and after offering to exchange himself and intel on how to learn more about said cloning technology for the operatives, CPL Illumori agreed.
At 2100 hours, the prisoner exchange took place and the troopers moved quickly to secure the Mandalorian closer to base. At 2110 the mercenary began to tell a tale of an elaborate smuggling guild's operation utilizing stolen Zakuul technology. The head of said cloning organization was named "Shabazz", and his right hand man, "Nohland Deschain" who could be found on [CLASSIFIED OMITTED]. It is highly recommended we follow up on this intelligence and capitalize on it.
After the intelligence exchange, the Mandalorian was released and warned that any further contact on Belsavis would result in their prosecution or death. Alpha Company personnel were then loaded onto a shuttle which took them back to the R.W.S. Alrek Torik.
Positive Points:
SPC Roran is recommended for a Bronze Star of the Republic for his valiant rescue of an NCO while under attack by a Sith, at great personal risk to himself.
SPC Frank is recommended for a Purple Heart for injuries sustained during combat operations. (Pending SPC Roran's report which will be attached)
SPC Eroca is recommended for the Medal of Communication for her exemplary reconnaissance performance during combat operations.

Positive Points:
- Despite the heavy amount of newer members, we prevailed
- Gained invaluable intelligence on technology far beyond our capabilities
- Despite heavy losses, we won both engagements
- RP was really fun and enjoyable for both sides
- The whole patrol was a lot of fun
- Recon was effective and gave us an advantage
- RP got carried away before the 1st engagement, which allowed the Imperials to make the first move and catch us off-guard
- Lack of knowledge on formations and battlefield procedures (Newer members just need more time is all)
- There was confusion when more than one NCO gave orders
- Focus fire discipline needs improvement
SPC Roran is recommended for a Bronze Star of the Republic for his valiant rescue of an NCO while under attack by a Sith, at great personal risk to himself.
SPC Frank is recommended for a Purple Heart for injuries sustained during combat operations. (Pending SPC Roran's report which will be attached)
SPC Eroca is recommended for the Medal of Communication for her exemplary reconnaissance performance during combat operations.
