Contact Summary:
SIS sent out a transmission at 1700 to all available Republic and Republic allied forces that assistance was needed on Ilum. In the transmission, it was revealed that Imperial sympathizers were after valued Ilum crystals, weapons, and food supplies stored at a Republic Base located deep in the Eastern Ice Shelf. With the base limited with ground forces to defend, time was running out as the persistent Imperials closed in on breaking the outer defenses.
MAJ Oca responds to the transmission and orders the R.W.S. Alrek Torik to hyperspace towards the icy planet of Ilum at 1705. 1SG Runninglighter preps a squad sized element of troopers, and a reconnaissance team for battle. Once geared and formed up for deployment, the squad is briefed by MAJ Oca on updated information coming out of Ilum. The Imperials have broken the defenses of the Republic base and have taken control of the lower levels of the base.
1715 The Torik comes out of hyperspace and enters into Ilums orbit. Recon Team is sent out to begin to explore the invaded base planet side, as MAJ Oca gives new orders to the squad element. Alpha Company was ordered to kill all Imperials on site, and rescue any staff personnel still alive at the Republic base. At 1718 Recon team transmits images of the destroyed republic Base, contact is made soon afterwards.
The squad element, led by MAJ Oca, is deployed out towards the outer territory of the Republic base to consolidate of fellow Jedi who have arrived just prior to Alpha Company. With eyes on the enemy within the base, MAJ Oca orders the squad to storm the Republic base. Alpha Company, quickly engages in combat in the upper levels and eliminates all Imperials guarding the elevator leading down to the lower levels.
Recon Team reports in a large Imperial force led by Sith attempting to set up an ambush once the Republic forces enter the lower levels of the base. With good information given ahead of time by the recon team, Maj Oca was able to lead his squad into battle effectively. CPL Victus had excellent reaction on the medical front by responding to the wounded quickly and efficiently. 1SG Runninglighter and SGT Eos with the remaining troopers focused down all targets in a synchronized manner quickly and without hesitation.
With the Sith and Imperial unable to withstand the organized assault by the 203rd and its allies, the enemy fell within a half hour.
1745 All Sith and Imperial invaders were eliminated. Republic High Command sent in needed guards and construction workers to Ilum to repair and guard the Base. All valued resources were recovered and moved to an undisclosed location for safe keeping.
1750 MAJ Oca orders the squad an recon element to form up for departure. 1Sg Runninglighter gives a final inspection to all troopers. CPL Victus completes healing the last of the wounded. No Company members died. The squad element departs Ilum and heads back to the Torik.
Positive Points:
Overall this was another good victory for the 203rd. We responded quickly and defeated the enemy. We kept ourselves to a high standard by not disrespecting the enemy with taunts, etc. Formation at the front of the base once again left a good image for the other republic players to see. Frank was a possible Imperial invader under the name "Donut" an assassin. I recommend we follow up with frank to see why he was part of that group.
