Event Report

Enemy Encountered: None

Friendly/Neutral Encountered: None

Event Summary: Conducted the first installment of the Special Operation Induction course for three Troopers and a review for five other enlisted members. The training lasted the usual two standard hours. In the first ten minutes, it was clear it would be an eventful, entertaining, and educational experience for everyone involved. 1SG Runninglighter was promoted either four or five times, depending on what was counted. CPL Derzelas demonstrated even NCOs are not above making mistakes and warranting a few laps around the platform. None of the Troopers in attendance had yet completed the requirements for promotion to Specialist listed in Addendum A-2 of the Training Manual.

Positive Points:

• Troopers showed good enthusiasm and participation throughout the duration of the event.
• Attendees expressed great enjoyment at the number of the "teachable moments" which arose.
• Attendees maintained focus and discipline despite 1SG Runninglighter having forgotten to give a break.

Negative Points:

• 1SG Runninglighter's connection had a few hiccups
• Some instances of Specialists and above not following basic procedures covered in the course.
• Lack of communication about possible attendance prior to the course.
• No promotions to Specialist.

Overall Assessment and Recommendation: It was a fun SOI. Those required to attend demonstrated the need for training, and took to it well, although in the future a course on listening may be necessary prior to training. Troopers should be encouraged to check and post on the forums regarding their attendance in the positive, negative, or even if they're unsure. Senior members should keep an eye out in normal operations to review and ensure long-term understanding and demonstration of the SOP covered in the course, and any questions people have should be asked if they are unsure. This includes members who have been promoted but have not had the chance to review the material covered in SOI.

Should the following requirements be met prior to the next Company Briefing, these Troopers are recommended for promotion to Specialist. TRP Mryxs:

• Complete Personnel File
• Attend two guild events (aside from SOI) and appear in AARs
• Maintain regular presence
