Contact Report
Faction Encountered:
Fought against Imperial forces for all the warzones we entered.
Number of Total Group/Ops Members:
For this particular warzone, we played more than half the match with only 5 members, 4 from the 203rd and one pug player.
Contact Summary:
Alpha Company entered the match down three players, CPL Derzis made the initial call to the ops group that he would go defend grass. The remaining four would head to middle and try to take control against a fully made ops group. CPL Derzis was able to claim grass and defend it throughout the match. SPC Corth and SPC Adelle assisted CPL Dronos in middle as we fought a losing battle at the middle turret. CPL Dronos headed out to try and steal snow as the rest were feeding into the middle turret. Without knowing calling it, SPC Adelle came in as CPL Dronos was about to die to help claim snow temporarily. SPC Corth and SPC Corth held the turret at snow courageously before being overwhelmed by Imperial forces. As CPL Dronos landed back at the landing zone, he noticed only one defender at middle(score at this time was 300 Imperial-180 Republic), CPL Dronos began to engage with the defender to try and claim a second turret. Out of nowhere SPC Adelle ran straight past our duel and began to claim the turret. CPL Dronos quickly put an electric-net to snare the defender as SPC Adelle successfully capped middle. This was a huge step forward as now the Republic had a fighting chance to regain some ground against the Imps. Three more Republic players entered the match at this time, evening the odds. SPC Corth and Republic players claimed snow, creating a triple cap situation on the Imperials. This too was a great step forward for us catching up on the score boards. We did not hold the triple cap very long but it was enough to catch up (score at this time was 80 Imps - 50 Republic). We held on to our two turrets until we won with 20 points left on the score board. It was a great comeback victory because of heroic actions and our troopers not getting flustered in tense situations.
Positive Points:
1. We won a war zone that should have been a loss by most accounts
2. Defense was great
3. Switching between both middle and snow turret was excellent
4. Capping instead of fighting for kills was done throughout the match
5. No one left the war zone because we losing bad for most of the match.
6. We triple capped, creating pressure and disorganization among the Imp forces.
7. Communication was there, making all members on comms aware of what was going on.
Negative Points:
1. We did not have a full ops group until 60% of the match was done
Overall Assessment and Recommendation:
Overall throughout all 6 war-zones that we completed, our group did really good. We won 5 of the 6 war zones. This war zone that I am focusing on for the report, showed exactly the type of mentality we had entering the q's. I am very happy to say, we had the right attitude to exploit weaknesses by following leadership skills taught in our WLC.
My personal recommendation, is that we continue to remember what was taught, and not get frustrated when we are losing war zones. This group showed that even when the other 4 players are not holding their own, we can make a strong difference on the battle field.
Troops up for Recognition:
I recommend SPC Adelle and SPC Corth for the Bronze Star of the Republic, for their excellent work on changing the tide of this reported war-zone. If it wasn't for their actions and awareness of the field, my damage output and Derzis defense would have meant nothing.
