4 NOV 2013 [AAR CTA - Tatooie] Aggressive Negotiations at Thorazan/Zaroshe
Division of the Republic Army
After Action Report
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Unit Information
Unit: 203rd REL "Alpha Company"
C.O.: Major Qorbin Oca
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Deployment Report
Planet: Tatooine
Formation Size:
Troops in Formation: 5
Lieutenant Neves
Sergeant Chadeaux (Ghost)
Corporal Mij
Specialist Drexxen
Trooper Junlar (Ghost)
Areas Patrolled: Area in between Outpost Thorazan and Outpost Zaroshe
Initial Contact: Estimated between 0300-0400 Zulu
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Contact Report: Corporal Mij attempted to intervene and negotiate a possible hostage situation outside the main entrance to Outpost Thorazan between Imperial and Republic forces. However, negotiations turned into a confrontation after the belligerent Sith Juggernaut agitated an attack. The call was sent out to all available Alpha Company personnel to respond, and several from the Alpha Line Troopers and Ghost Squad intercepted opposing Imperial forces to defend the outpost from further attack. There were a couple of repeated attempts made to attack the outpost, both which ended in victory for Alpha Company. Once the fighting ceased, Lieutenant Neves rallied the group to conduct a recon patrol in between Thorazan and Zaroshe, with Ghost in the lead to identify and mark targets as the presented themselves. Once outside the Czerka compound close to Zaroshe, the same Sith from the earlier attacks began to engage Alpha once more, the end result being they were driven back to the Imperial outpost. Alpha also also assured the safety of inexperienced Imperial forces, as it is not our philosophy to attack unprovoked. A lone Sith Juggernaut had approached Lieutenant Neves, and began a verbal altercation, which ended up becoming fight between the two, the Lieutenant being victorious both times. It was then that attacks on Republic forces had ceased, and Lieutenant Neves rallied Alpha back to Thorazan to form up, and was later dismissed.
Enemy Encountered: Small group on Imperial Forces
Friendly/Neutral Encountered: One level 50 Jedi Sage, one level 22 Jedi Sentinel
Contact Summary: Fouled negotiations required Alpha intervention, which lead to the successful defense of Thorazan, and an aggressive response in the form of a recon patrol to the outer perimeter of Zaroshe. There was contact along the way, with casualties early on, but Alpha was able to recoup and stave off additional Imperial aggression.
Positive Points:
• Coordination and leadership provided by Lieutenant Neves, exceeded the standard as a newly promoted officer.
• Maintaining composure and professionalism, regardless of any taunts or agitation brought on by the Imperials
Negative Points:
• The negotiations turned sour, which could have been avoided if circumstances allowed.
• Early casualties upon arrival to Zaroshe could have been avoided with better communication as a group.
Overall Assessment and Recommendation:
There will be players on both factions who will attempt to lie and slander the name of Alpha Company, no matter how well we do to uphold our ideals and values. As a whole, we must ignore the naysayers and continue to be the most professional, respected, and committed organization we know we can be. Imperials will continue to fear and respect us as a group, as long as we practice what we hold dear. Fight as one!
