Contact Report:
Enemy Encountered: None, aside from Sand People.
Friendly/Neutral Encountered: None.
Contact Summary: At approximately 01:00hrs Zulu, Sgt Neves formed a fire team sized element on Tatooine at Outpost Dreviad to deal with increasing aggression from local hostile sand people. Intelligence reports stated that the sand people were armed with military grade weaponry and technology. The team's mission was to infiltrate nearby sand people encampments and discover the source of their new weaponry. Sgt. Neves deployed Recruit Junlar ahead of the team to get eyes on the first objective point, while the rest of the team followed on foot. Once Junlar got eyes on the objective, he reported back on their size, actions, locations, movement, and weaponry. Once a weak point in the encampment's perimeter was determined, Neves ordered the team to move in. He issued the order to hold fire until told otherwise, and to use hand to hand combat techniques to silently dispose of the sentries. Once inside, the team decided to hit a room that more than likely had some intell. While subduing the nearest group of guards, a sand person grabbed Curran's rifle. During the struggle, a stray blaster bolt was fired and the entire camp was alerted. Giving the order to engage all hostiles, Neves and the two other troopers made movement to the room while Junlar cleared and secured an exfil route. Clearing the room, the team found no evidence to lead to the source of the weaponry. Neves ordered the team to pull out and break contact in order to make movement to the second objective point.
The team approached the second encampment and employed the same tactics to gain entry. This time however, a holocommunicator device was found in a store of arms. Deeming this to be the best intell to be found that day, Sgt. Neves ordered the team to pull out and move to Outpost Largona to debrief. Once at Outpost Largona, Neves debriefed and congratulated the team on a mission well done. Junlar was given the holo-device and told to use his skills and as much time necessary to break into it and gather all intell locked inside. The team was then dismissed, and Neves awaits more information from Junlar once he cracks the device's security.
Positive Points:
• Good Rp event for our Sunday events.
• All performed, Rp'ed, and worked well together.
• Everyone enjoyed themselves and the time spent.
Negative Points:
• Small turnout, other members logged in during the event but could only stay online for a short time.
• Was unable to find the source of the weaponry (Due to running low on time.)
Overall Assessment and Recommendation: Spread the word and get more people to attend regular events. I also stress that I would like to see some NCO's and even other Troopers lead events in the future. Set the example, and show why you hold the rank that you do. I understand it isn't practical for all, but if you are able to get online, don't hesitate to lead members on a random RP event.
