Contact Summary: Deployed to Corellia with a force that swelled to a full squad. We moved to Alpha Point which appeared to be a downed craft, a through search was started and several additional troops arrived on planet to complete the two squads. One squad was assigned to scanning the wreckage for any signs of the droids while the other set up a perimeter. Despite expecting a rather quiet operation we were assailed by Mandolorians from the moment we started scanning. We managed to hold off two waves of attacks and complete our scans before moving out to the next location. We were ambushed from the rear while on route to the next objective location, however, upon return to the ambush location the enemy had appeared to clear out. We proceeded to Bravo point without incident and secured the location before we were approached by a lone Sith, the situation was assessed and the sith allowed to grandstand before retreating in the face of an obvious no win situation for him. I suspected there might be something more to these droids we were searching for and proceeded to complete scans at Bravo point before moving on to the Charlie Point, as we approached the intersection outside of the last objective we were ambushed by another group of Mandolorians, this group appeared different then the first one and put up a strong defensive fight. We managed to flank around to the west of the position and force them out with a well timed push. Several more skirmishes with the enemy occurred before things settled in. The sith appeared again throwing still more threats before being forced to make a retreat. Scans were completed in the final location and sent to the SIS for information processing.
Positive Points:
• All involved parties enjoyed the event
• Positive relations with guilds we normally don't have high expectations for.
Negative Points:
• People on Imp side mixed up when the event was supposed to happen. fewer imps at one time but didn't ruin the fun
• Some confusion on how event was going to happen but overall didn't negatively affect the event
Overall Assessment and Recommendation: the Event was enjoyed by all parties involved, we managed to get exposure and find people in 2 guilds we don't generally have positive interactions with who not only presented a respectable front but showed a vested interest in further such things in the future. I advise we pursue further events with all guilds with a focus on the members who were present at the event.
