Contact Summary:
At around 2100hrs Trooper Jaxin, while on a routine scouting patrol in the Dune Sea, spotted a force of ~10 enemy combatants outside Outpost Thorozan. Trooper Jaxin relayed the presence of the contacts to the on-duty NCO, Sergeant Riike.
For about 30 or so minutes, Sergeant Riike and Trooper Jaxin repelled numerous assaults on the outpost with the help of the local militia.
The enemy forces had apparently sent out a distress call because their numbers were bolstered from ~10-12 to ~18-20. To combat this rise in numbers, Sergeant Riike called all Alpha Company troops who were available at the time. Additionally, Captain Jernax from the Marine Expeditionary Unit brought reinforcements of his own to aid the fight.
Two to three hours went by as both forces engaged in numerous skirmishes between Outpost Thorozan and the Imperial outpost, Zaroshe. Friendly forces won the majority of these skirmishes, only being routed three times during the several-hour conflict.
As both sides became more and more fatigued, the enemy combatants decided to cut their losses first, ceding dominance of the area to the Republic.
Positive Points:
• Alpha Company was able to hold its own very well given the amount of contacts present. Special thanks to Kj’vago and Vejovis for keeping the entire force up and running for very long amounts of time.
• MEU showed up in force, giving friendly forces a strong base on which we could dominate the enemy.
Negative Points:
• None
Overall Assessment and Recommendation:
I am very satisfied with how this CTA turned out. We managed to pull together a very effective fighting force with MEU. All those who partook in the battle should thank our allies, as well as the Imperial force (mainly Unified Sith Empire, and The Imperial Military) for sticking around for as long as they did.
I am hopeful that our activity levels will rise back up to where they were once the 3.0 patch rolls out. We will once again be on the upward swing both in activity and in numbers.
