Division of the Republic Army
After Action Report
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Unit Information
Unit: 203rd REL "Alpha Company"
C.O.: Major Qorbin Oca
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Deployment Report
Planet: Tatooine
Formation Size: 5
Troops in Formation:
Corporal Vejovis
Spc. Kj'vago
Spc. Corth
Spc. Derzis
Trooper Jaxin
Areas Patrolled: Outlaw's Den
Initial Contact:1800EST
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Contact Report:
Enemy Encountered: Reign
Friendly/Neutral Encountered: Marine Expeditionary Unit
Contact Summary:
Both units deployed to the Outlaw's Den for a series of wargame excercises, comprised of squad level manuevers. Combat involved flanking, location defense, and location assualt, it was clear the numerical advantage lay with the MEU but all single squad ineractions were won by Alpha Company. At the end of the event Reign happened upon our grouping and some wpvp against a real enemy was offered up. We used the Joint Mumble to convey orders and intel up and down the chain as needed. After some struggling we managed a Hammer and Anvil maneuver through the Den crushing all resistance and completing the event.
Positive Points:
• Event was enjoyable
• Alpha Company had a good squad composition
Working together against Reign showed good potential for future events
Negative Points:
• We only managed to provide 5 people for the event
• It took 30 mins before the event fully started
The inability to directly convey information to all parties resulted in numerous miscommunications and a severe delay during combined actions.
Overall Assessment and Recommendation: Event was terribly understaffed by Acoy, this forced us to limit the size and scope of wargame excercises. MEU managed to get 11 people on the field to our meager 5 and while we did explore full group encounters, skill can only account for so much when facing overwhelming numbers. That aside all parties involved expressed joy at the event and look forward to the next one. With some work on the communication aspect we can look forward to a well oiled ally who provides more then a mobbish response in the field.
