Contact Report:
Enemy Encountered: About 15-20 Imperials and Sith from various orders and units. (50's and sub-50's)
Friendly/Neutral Encountered: About 10-15 Republic Conscripts and Jedi (50's and sub-50's)
Contact Summary: While conducting routine operations on Tatooine, Recruit Braxx'us made contact with a large Imperial force that was attacking Republic citizens in the vicinity of Outpost Thorazan in the Dune Sea. All available Alpha Company personnel immediately deployed to the region and began security operations. After halting the enemy's advance and encroachment at Outpost Thorazan, Alpha Company forces moved into a blocking position to prevent reinforcements from leaving the Imperial staging area at Outpost Zaroshe. As additional enemy reinforcements landed and attempted to break our blockade, Alpha Company forces provided guidance and leadership to the rallying republic citizens as we held the line against wave after wave of oncoming Imperial aggressors. By approximately 2330h EST the enemy force began to slow its suicidal push against the blockade, and fell back behind their base's defenses. Seizing the initiative, Alpha Company forces began assaulting the base sentries directly and reaped heavy casualties upon the Imperial forces. By 2350h EST, the Republic had full control and freedom of movement inside Outpost Zaroshe, all defenders were obliterated. After securing the objective, Alpha Company forces conducted a short patrol to an extraction point and withdrew back to garrison aboard the Repulse.
Positive Points:
• We were only three men, but our teamwork and uniformed appearance caused other republic players to rally behind us without a single word spoken
• Our victory was very visible and promoted the unit in a positive way among Republic players.
Negative Points:
• Our AOE calls for fire were effective, but light due to the size of our force.
• Although all targets engaged were legitimate aggressors in an engagement area, Sub-50 Imperials were mowed down in addition to the max level fighters, which may cause bad public relations with Imperial roleplay community.
Overall Assessment and Recommendation:
A small but well fought skirmish. No recommendations for improvement required. Mess with a sub-50 Alpha Trooper, and reap the whirlwind!
