Enemy Encountered: Sithlike <Dark Brethren>, Dacell <Reign>, Yuri, Gilgamesh, Kayserlo <The GenoHaradan>, Painx <The Pinnacle of Balance>, Nadja, Lystark, various other Imperials.
Friendly/Neutral Encountered: Huong-dan <Systems CommonWealth>, Malcon <Red Brigade>
Event Summary:
On scouting of reports of the Rakghoul plague keeping a Reek in a perpetual state of resurrection after multiple attempts to kill it, 1LT. Mij saw some Imperials down a Jedi attempting to contain the beast. Forming a fire team to put them in their place, they engaged the Imperials. After several successful strikes in foiling their attempts to harvest the potent plague from the beast, the opposition called in reinforcements as did the fire team. Blows were traded on both sides, eventually Alpha was forced to regroup at Outpost Largona due to overwhelming forces of an approximate 3-to-2 ratio. Eventually the newly formed strike team was able to down the Reek for good while having a small force screen the Imperials from interfering with containment efforts.
Positive Points:
- Good response time and coordination.
- Adapted quickly to changes in combat.
Negative Points:
- Yet another CTA to Tatooine to assist in T.H.O.R.N. efforts.
- Indecisiveness in command decisions led to a tougher fight.
Overall Assessment and Recommendation:
I was hoping to avoid calling another CTA for this event and my reluctance to do so allowed the opposition to gather their forces and make the battle more difficult. We fought hard and hopefully we all had a good time. This demonstrated to me that I may lean on my NCOs more than I should when making tactical decisions, as I was second guessing myself when none were available at the beginning and deferring to them when they were around rather than listening to their intel and making the call.
