---------------------------------------------------------------------
Unit Information
Unit: 203rd REL "Alpha Company"
C.O.: Major Qorbin Oca
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Deployment Report
Planet: Hoth
Formation Size: 15
Troops in Formation:
Command Staff: Major Qorbin, Captain Viozaer
Ghost Squad: Trooper Djeno, Sergeant Chadeaux
Squad 1: Sergeant Zidd, Trooper Eroc, Trooper Holdn, Corporal Riike, Trooper Rallkon, Specialist Kateri
Squad 2: Staff Sergeant Thavious, Corporal Vejovis, Specialist Mirshe, Specialist Illumori, Specialist "Doc" Jromwald
Areas Patrolled: All known Tauntaun Nests
Initial Contact: 2100 hours
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Contact Report:
Enemy Encountered: Miscellaneous low combat level Imperial combatants, Many local wildlife Wampas attacked the Tauntaun nests and were repelled.
Friendly/Neutral Encountered: Upload, Misc. Jedi
Contact Summary: At 2100 hours Alpha Company gathered for formation to continue Operation Snowblast. The objectives included searching for alternate forms of transportation due to the lack of energy cells for speeders and extreme weather conditions. There was some initial confusion due to the lack of knowledge of the mission briefing and map laid out by the CO. However, once underway, the unit proceeded to all known Tauntaun nests to gather intel on how to wrangle and domesticate them for transportation. All troopers were involved in collecting the information needed to acquire said mounts. During mission execution, no casualties were taken, but many Wampas (local wildlife) were killed during the gathering of information. The energy cells needed to get all planetary taxis and mechanical mounts up and running were not found. Mission was accomplished by 2245 hours.
Positive Points:
All mission objectives were accomplished
Alpha Company now has means of transport on Hoth
Negative Points:
Many unit members had not read the mission briefing or studied the map laid out by Major Oca before stepping off
AAR designation was not made until after the mission had concluded
Overall Assessment and Recommendation: All mission objectives for the evening were met, although many of the attending troopers did not read the briefing beforehand or the map. We maintained combat discipline, forming perimeters and maintaining dispersion. We also acquired extreme cold weather condition mounts for operations on Ilum and Hoth for all attending unit members. Recommendations for future operations: Better preparedness by reading mission briefings and maps beforehand, and extra information or how-to videos provided on how to accomplish mission objectives, i.e. how to bait and collect data from local wildlife.
