Friendly/Neutral Encountered: De'Lories of <Night's Radiance>, Tyrtaeus (Vet. Ben'airu), <House Kil'ndar>
Contact Summary: While conducting a routine patrol of the Black Hole Area, Alpha Company forces were ambushed by a sizeable Imperial force. After bringing in a fire team to eliminate the threat, additional Imperial reinforcements arrived and continued to press the the attack on friendly forces. After deploying a squad sized element to the planet, Alpha Company forces repeatedly crushed the Imperial threat in three separate engagements. After being pushing back to their landing zone, the remaining Imperial forces surrendered the terrain and fled the planet.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Post Operation Assessment
Positive Points:
• We had non-combatants mixed with hostiles, and all troopers did an excellent job checking their fire to limit civilian casualties.
• Our force was immovable. Our tactics plus a slight numbers advantage gave us complete control over the terrain, despite the enemy's use of NPC attachments (companions).
Negative Points:
• The Imperials gave up too quickly, this had the potential to be a great brawl.
Overall Assessment/Recommendations:
To be fair to the Imperials, we picked this fight by patrolling in their territory. It quickly became our territory. Well fought, its a shame it was over so quickly.
