<Marine Expeditionary Unit> Hertz, Kohana, Horiss, Iindigo, Robero, Darkhawk
<Valorous Knights> Zurlik, Omomo, Je'taimee, Benethor, Anomaly, Valqon, Seann
Contact Summary:
At 19:00hrs EDT Alpha Company (A Co.) deployed a squad sized element to the moon of Nar Shaddaa. A similar size element from Marine Expeditionary Unit <MEU> joined A Co. in the Lower Industrial Sector of Nar Shaddaa. The taskforce mission was to locate and eliminate key bosses on multiple planets. Ghost Squad was sent ahead to recon the route and get eyes on the target. Battledroid R4-GL was discovered in a corner of the Network Security District. Lt Neves guided the rest of the force into the area and we quickly set up a firing line. The battledroid was dismantled quickly without incident from our combined firepower.
The taskforce then redeployed to the planet Hoth with reports of a Snow Giant named Gargath that has been terrorizing the area around Jagged Plains Republic Outpost. Again Ghost Squad moved ahead to locate the target. Corporal Vejovis lead the force on speeders South from Aurek Base, past Drift Hills Republic Depot down to Jagged Plains Republic Outpost then East into Clabburn Tundra. The taskforce engaged Gargath but he put up a stronger fight than the last enemy faced. A few troopers fell due to Gargath's area effect attacks, but after a short fight, the taskforce was able to take him down.
Ghost Squad then moved Eastward looking for another known creature that prowls the Southern Glacial Fissure called Snowblind. Upon reaching the area, the mutated whitefang was nowhere to be seen and Corporal Vejovis ordered the taskforce to regroup for one more planetary deployment.
Again the taskforce was redeployed, this time to the planet Alderaan. Another droid, named Ulgo Siegebreaker, has been troublesome near the Republic outpost Hurne and the taskforce was ordered to clear him out. We encountered another Republic squad sized force in the river near where Ulgo was reported to have been patrolling. This new group was from <Valorous Knights>. After a short miscommunication of interests, we combined our forces and easily dispatched Ulgo Siegebreaker.
Positive Points:
• Quickly organized and deployed on short notice
• Another event where Alpha Company and MEU worked together well
Negative Points:
• Taskforce was not prepared for Gargaths AOE damage to younger (lower level) troopers in formation
• Initial contact with Valorious Knights led them to attack Ulgo early thinking we were going to try to 'kill steal' since our group was larger than theirs
Overall Assessment and Recommendation:
Overall it was great to see both Alpha Company and <MEU> come together for another combined event, especially since it was a 'spur-of-the-moment' event. Another positive aspect was the good PR all three guilds involved on the last planet received in relation to each other.
We now know that <Valorous Knights> is willing to work with other guilds to achieve a common goal.
Recommend we continue developing our interguild relations with <MEU> and schedule combined events in the future.
