Friendly/Neutral Encountered: <Remnants of Hope>, Assorted Republic Conscripts.
Contact Summary: Imperial Forces infiltrated Palista Spaceport and proceeded to murder republic citizens. Alpha Company Forces rallied in mass and repelled the invaders. Enemy forces regrouped and repeatedly attempted to continue their incursion south. A squad size element of Alpha Company setup concealed ambushes and coordinated efforts with other Republic defenders to repel and obliterate the attacking Imperials in every engagement.
There was a suggestion that the Imperials were after some sort of document or intelligence product when they were inside Palista Spaceport, we may see a reference to this in the future.
Post Operation Assessment
Positive Points:
Our response to their initial assault on the spaceport was overwhelming. The enemy was annihilated with minimal casualties.
Recon forces did an outstanding job of identifying enemy movement corridors, allowing us to setup concealed ambushes and serve as a fixing force to keep the Imperials stationary while Republic reinforcements arrived.
Even against 2:1 odds, we held our ground, were never defeated, and caused the enemy to panic and retreat while they still held a numbers advantage.
Negative Points:
Lack of proper communication led to excessive forces being deployed to the planet during the initial engagement, pulling forces away from other assignments.
Recommendations:
All corrective action has already been implemented, no further recommendations.
Overall Assessment and Recommendation: We spanked them.
