Contact Report:
Enemy Encountered:
10+ House Kilndar
Friendly/Neutral Encountered:
Capt. Kronvyr
Freelancer Gilleam (held captive)
Sith Kaethe (Kronvyrs captive, lover)
Contact Summary:
Sgt. Ysmir, through his various comms channels, intercepted transmissions from the notorious House Kilndar regarding a captive being interrogated. This captive was part of the initial crew designated to take out the Sith Josai, and to the Republics dismay, that particular Sith lived to tell the tale. Ysmir reported it to SIS, who in turn reported the information to Capt. Kronvyr. Alpha Company then assembled on Voss, and joined by a Jedi (who lacked the same combat experience as the troopers), they set out through the lands in search of the prisoner.
Eventually, word got through to the patrolling squad that the prisoner was being interrogated in a building on Voss-ka. Sgt. Ysmir, knowing this is a breach of Voss hospitality, recalled his troops to the city, informing the Voss-ka commandos along the way. As they formed up on the door in breach formation, it became apparent that the Voss were not coming. With the assistance of Kronvyr, Alpha Company breached and found themselves up against a force barrier. Due to the electric nature of the barrier, the squad combined pulse cannons in an attempt to tear down the barrier. It was super-effective; the Sith on the other side were stunned.
Alpha Company then engaged in combat with the Sith, but due to the limitations of the interior, were forced to fight man to man. One by one, Alpha Company fell, with Ysmir being the last remaining combatant. He managed to down two Sith before being overwhelmed by the third. However, the lives were spared as Kronvyr offered to return his own captive in exchange for their prisoner, Gilleam and the lives of A Coy.
The trade occurred later that night, with Thecas captive (Kaethe) exhibiting signs of attachment to her jailer. Alpha Company bugged out, thankful their heads were still on straight.
Positive Points:
Good RP with the Sith
Aided the Kilndar storyline with perfection
Negative Points:
Scrambling in the dark. Would help if our allies would actually speak to us before we wandered around the planet.
Dueling. Despite everything going pretty much as planned for the Siths storyline, our dueling technique needs a lot of work. Man to man coverage needs to improve.
Overall Assessment and Recommendation:
For RP purposes, we did everything well. Some comments from Kilndar, specifically tag-reading (reading the name-tag, class icon, etc.) and in-character conversation, need to improve, but otherwise was a very good RP for both sides.
Recommend that we take a dueling course, however. Gear related or not, each trooper must know how to fight and defend against each class. Keep an eye out on the forums for these courses.
