It's just crap because Bioware and EA obviously don't know what they're doing and we all have spent tons of money on this game already and now they're going f2p? And then there's no point but to keep paying to play what LITTLE content they have? That's just crap. L'oTRO was much better f2p

I think the old farts of the guild are dealing with this news a lot better than the whipersnappers. This may help.

kind of like how legacy was (supposedly) supposed to be a launch feature since the majority of the coding was already present, it just had to be "unlocked" and we were promised ranked pvp in 1.2 and SURPRISE it came out much later and the devs wanted us to throw a party for them

My entire point exactly. You really can't defend this game. The devs have screwed themselves. This game, IN MY OPINION, is a good game, but it's far far from being a great game. And now that we can play for free but there's no point in playing for free if you can't do any end game content, I feel like it cheats the subscribers who have been loyal since launch. So I feel like this decision is stupid, idiotic, and asinine.

I don't really see how the extra wz, op, comp and planet should have been in since launch? They shouldn't have been and it IS a lot of new stuff to get in such a young game... However, it doesn't solve the lack of end game stuff to do. It will occupy people for a week or two and then they will be crying that they're bored all over again. What they SHOULD be doing, is enhancing what is already in game... like make Ilum worth pvp'ing on and more casual/silly stuff to do like getting the fucking casinos working. I'd be on the promenade all the time losing all my creds in dumb ass card games and slot machines if they'd get that shit up and running.
F2P could end up being great for the game when it comes to queuing for wz's and using the group finder but I'll be surprised if it really makes any good changes. Either way, Kupo legacy lives on as we all know Acoy will! Right now from what we know, I might end up going F2P and then resubbing to WoW cause I like dabbling in that once in a while for the nostalgia. But no definitive decision on that till they release more info on the differences in play.

They did admit right from the start that they were totally surprised at how fast some of the playerbase ate through the content to level 50. I really think this totally threw them off right from the get go and they simply have never been able to catch up since.
I am still a bit surprised at Bioware but I guess they just may not be cut out for the MMO genre.
After so many great games from them, they gotta get smacked down with some humility at some point or another, just too bad it was with SWTOR.
