Section #4: Raid and Loot Procedures

Loot Policies (Non RAID)

As we continue to grow, evolve and more people come on board the guild we wanted to provide a clear message from the officers on the Loot Policy of Primus Pilus. I will go into detail below, however at the core of it we believe in a Need Before Greed looting system.

Group with Guild Members only:

Need before Greed, if your current toon needs the item for either an upgrade, crafting resource, ect roll need on the object. If you do not need the item on the toon you are playing roll greed or pass if you just don’t want to clog inventory space.

DO NOT roll Need on items you need for an alt toon. Loot being rolled on is for the current toon being played. If after the roll your alt could use it speak your fellow kin member and work it out. Or ask in the group prior to the roll if anyone minds if you roll need on the item for your alt. Do not just Roll need from the start of the roll for items your alt can use.

DO NOT roll need because you need the coin that you could get from selling an item to the vendor or on the AH.

Guild / PUG mixed Group (Guild Member is the group Leader):

State to the group the loot rules above so that the PUG invites understand the loot rules. Follow the same loot rules as above.

Should a PUG with the group abuse the loot system and not follow it they should be immediately removed from the group at that time.

Violations of the Loot Policy:

Should a member of the guild violate or abuse the loot system please inform one of the guild officers.

The officers will look into the incident and once investigated will take appropriate actions.

Upon first offense the member will receive a warning that such actions will not be tolerated within the guild and ask that the player follow the policy above.

Upon second offense the member will be removed from the guild.

***Keep in mind we understand accidents happen during loot rolls. Someone accidentally rolling need instead of greed is not what this policy is about. This policy is to ensure that no member of the guild rolls need on every item.

DKP Raid Loot System:

The loot system for RAIDS within Primus Pilus is the DKP system. In order to earn DKP a player must have full membership within the guild.

Gear upgrades are distributed using a DKP system. Members accrue DKP by attending raids, events, and qualifying for certain bonuses. When a gear upgrade drops, they bid competitively against each other for the right to loot that upgrade. The highest bidder wins the prize. The person bidding must be able to use the item they are bidding on. A player is allowed 1 gear / 1 Purple item puchase per RAID.

Loot Priority:

In all cases, priority will be given in the following order:

All members in the raid have equal priority.

1 Purple item are allowed per member per raid unless NO ONE wants the item at all.

(Note: if an item is not bid on with DKP a roll on the item will be called for at this time for people to roll on the item if they choose. The winner will be the highest roll. Loot items won this way will cost a min DKP amount of 20 DKP. If noone chooses to roll then it is assigned to the raid leader and sole as trash if BoA. Choosing to roll and winning in this matter does not count to your ability to bid and win on 1 item per raid)

If you're late or leave early, you will not receive full credit for the raid. Your total will be proportionate to the portion of the raid that you attended minus any penalties.

Spending DKP:

When an item drops, officers will call for members to bid on the item. Bids will be sent via raid chat (/ra) and the current high bid on the item will be announced.

All DKP bids must start with a minimum of 20 points, and must be bid in 10 point increments thereafter, unless you're bidding your entire total. For example, if you only have 83 points available, you may bid all 83, instead of 80.

In the event of a tie in the bidding process, the raid leader will award the item to the person that submitted the tieing bid first.

DKP Bounses:

Bonus Points Value
Member is on time for RAID: + 5pts
Each Purple Item Drop in the instance is worth: + 10pts
Each Boss Defeated is worth: + 5pts
Kinship Firstime Defeat of a Boss: + 10pts
Member stays through completion of RAID: + 5pts
Quest items are not given a points value in overall DKP totals: --

DKP Penalties:

Members who arrive more than 15 minutes past the start of the raid must wait 2hrs before competing for loot of any kind. For example, if the raid begins at 6PM PST and you arrive later than 615PM PST, you must wait a full 2 hours before attempting to win loot. Also those who are more than 15 minutes late to the raid will not accrue any DKP for the first boss killed while they are in the raid and will also receive no credit for the bosses loot drops.

Only the Character that you are currently raiding with at that raid can accrue and or spend DKP for that character. You can not transfer DKP between characters.

Other Loot items:

All raid based quest items will be bid on and only go to a roll if no one wants them with a minimum deduction of 5 DKP.

Purple Drops of worth (non common damage weapons cloak drops) will be rolled on at the time they drop for those that NEED the item and will use it.

Alternates:

3 Slots will now be added to each raid singup for:

  • DPS
  • Healer
  • Support

These slots will be for people that miss the initial signups but would like to go if a slot opens up. The Alternate must be available during the course of the raid. If the Alternate is not needed they receive 30DKP for being available. If they are needed, no matter what point they enter the raid they will receive full raid credit for the course of the raid.
