Section #2: Code of Conduct

Bullet

You have the right to voice anything to the Command Staff , whether it is a complaint (use tells, or e-mail), praise, or suggestion.

Bullet

You have the right to be treated with respect. If any member violates this right, please approach an officer.

Bullet

You have the right to take a break from the game at anytime, however please try to let others know that you are taking a break.

Bullet

You have the right to leave Primus Pilus at anytime that you feel that it is now longer right for you. However please try to let an officer know why you left, so that it will help improve the guild in the future.

Bullet

Be generous. If you are given something, reward others by giving in turn.

Bullet

No begging is allowed. We are not loot hogs, so please do not beg other members of the guild for money to buy some new high-level equipment or any other ungodly priced item. You may however, let other members know that you looking for something and ask people to keep an eye out for it. More often than not, if a member has the item that you are looking for, you will be offered it for free, a reduced rate, or extended loan. Primus Pilus attempts to keep a cache of useful items that are available to any member that needs them. We will not tolerate greed, which includes using guild items or members to make a profit. This also means you are not allowed to beg from non Primus Pilus members. Doing so reflects negatively on our reputation.

Bullet

DO NOT BUY GOLD FROM 3rd parties using real money. This also includes buying items, or using power leveling services. Doing such only leads to more spamming. If their is no market for them they will not exist. If you are caught you will be dishonorably discharged.

Bullet

The enemy is to be treated with the up most respect. This includes but is not limited to: no griefing, hate tells, slandering, childish treatment, or exploiting of game bugs upon enemies.

Bullet

Ganking of a low level enemy is prohibitted. This qualifies as when there is a 10 level or more difference between your character and the other player. Execptions to this rule are: if you are attacked by that character first, that character is performing in a overt action against another player that you are engaged with (ex. healing that player), if that character or guild is on the KOS List, or if you are protecting or assualting a player city.

Bullet

Honorable treatment of members is a must. This means the same as above, plus listening to officers and obeying their directives. Treat guild veterans with the same respect as an officer even though they do not have the authority of one.

Bullet

IF OUR BASE IS VUNURABLE AND YOU ARE ONLINE YOU ARE TO BE THERE TO HELP DEFEND THEM, regardless of level. Even if you are not level 80 you can still help heal, rez, spy on, and harass the enemy. Officers should report anyone that is online but not present to the Prefect or General.

Bullet

Answer a call for help by an ally in trouble, whenever possible. If another player is preventing someone from reaching their objective, and they ask for help or obviously need it, you should do whatever you can to help them, even if it means dying.

Bullet

Answer any call for help to defend an ally's base or city. When this call goes out in whatever medium unless you are in the middle of a mission, in a PvP situation, or it would take you more than 15 minutes to respond, ALL members are expected to assist in any way possible.

Bullet

Report any overt activity within or near our compound to a officer ASAP.

Bullet

No Helper, or LFG tags are to be displayed, period

Bullet

Do not create drama either in guild or out of the guild! Anyone causing drama that results in the Commanding Officer or the Executive Officer having to spend more than five minutes to deal with, will be subject to probation, an officer meeting, and/or possibly a less then honorable discharge.

Bullet

Do not create forum drama! This includes but is not limited to trolling on both the AOC official forums, as well as our own.

Voice Comm Etiquette

Bullet

Use appropriate channels.

Bullet

During raids, keep the channel clear of idle chatter. Let the officers do the talking. This makes it easier to give orders and to make sure they are heard.

Bullet

Avoid the use of profanity, racial, sexual, or any other derogatory comments that might offend people. If someone ask you to watch your language simply apologize and move on. With that said if your language starts to become a problem you can and probably will be first kicked from the server, after you have calmed down you are more than welcome to come back on, if you can't handle yourself after that you are subject to a ban from the Vent Server, which also means a ban from all raids.

Requesting A Leave of Absence

Temporary Leave of Absence

A temporary leave of absence is defined as a 7-30 day absence from the game.

Bullet

ONLY FULL MEMBERS (above recruit) MAY REQUEST LEAVE. All recruits will still be required to complete the training within 30 days of acceptance.

Bullet

To request leave, post in the On Leave forum in regards to why and how long you plan to be gone for.

Bullet

Once your have returned, you will have to post in the same thread informing of your return.

Extended Leaves of Absence

ELoAs will be considered by the General or Prefect personally and as such, you will have to address them personally.

Beyond Extended Leave

All members who don't know when or if they will return are expected to give notice to the guild and resign, until the time in which they return.

Disciplinary Actions

Not all infractions of the Code of Conduct may result in action being taken, but they may hurt your chances for promotions in the future.

Probation

Probation can last as long as a day or a few months. Any farther violations of the Code of Conduct, or the RP guidelines during your probation will result in a Dishonorable Discharge (see details below). After your probation period is over you must pay a reinstatement fee.

Restricted Duty (RD)

It will most likely come about for one of two things: not following orders during a raid, or not following the RP guidelines during a RP event. During your Restricted Duty you will not be allowed to participate in that type of event. RD will usually last for no more than a week, at the end of your RD period you will be required to attend a "reeducation class" after that you will be put back on full duty.

Restitution

Restitution may require reimbursement of credits or the replacement of the item in question.

Demotion

Demotion or loss of a rank will be punishment for inactivity in the guild. This will especially hold true for officers who are expected to be on and participate in events on regular bases. Officers are to lead by example and it is hard to do that when they are not on. As a general guideline you will lose one rank for roughly 15 days of inactivity.

Discharges

Honorable

Any guild member with the rank above Legionary in Training, that leaves the guild or is removed for being inactive (AWOL) will receive an honorable discharge from service. An honorable discharge is as follows: should you choose to return, within 30 days they will retain their full rank and benefits. After the 30 days their rank will be reset to Legionary and you will lose all of your benefits, you will however not need to go through any of the recruitment process should they choose to return.

Less Then Honorable

This discharge is reserved for people that leave the guild without the approval of a ranking tribunal officer that is on-line or for recruits that fail to meet the training requirements in time (30 days).

Pervious Members

  1. Must pay a 75 silver reinstatement fee, that will go for building maintenance. You will be strip of all pervious rank and benefits.
  2. Should you be accepted back into the guild you will be placed on one month's probation, ANY infractions could result in removal.

Recruits

  1. Must pay a 1 gold reinstatement fee, that will go for building maintenance.
  2. You will be allowed back into the guild after you have completed all the requirements that you didn't complete before.
  3. After they have met all the requirements they will have to set up a meeting with the officers to evaluate your status.
  4. Should you be accepted back into the guild you will be placed on one month's probation, ANY infractions could result in removal.
Dishonorable

Being Dishonorably Discharged will be for repeat violations to the Code of Conduct, or a violation while on probation. It can is some cases however come from just one violation to the Code of Conduct. The following actions will be taken against anyone that is dishonorable discharged from service:

  1. Immediate removal from the guild.
  2. You will be ban from the forums.
  3. You will be ban from the vent server.

Furthermore all members should add that member to their ignore list and cease all contact with them.

Appeal Process

Everyone is entitled to an appeal of any actions taken against them. The procedures will be as follows: All officers (that are on) and the party / parties in question will meet, usually after a guild meeting. We will hear both sides of the argument, and then we will then vote in a secure channel (group chat) to uphold or overturn the discussion. In the event there is a tie in the voting, The ranking officer will talk to the other officers asking their opinions of the matter and then will cast the deciding vote. ALL DECISIONS ARE FINAL!!!

DISCLAIMER: ALL GUILD POLICIES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE OR WARNING. IT WILL BE YOU'RE RESPONSIBLY TO CHECK BACK PERIODICALLY TO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE MOST UP-TO DATE VERSION.
